It's day three. You've had your third stick, it tasted like peach mango, and an hour later you're standing at the kitchen counter wondering whether anything happened.
You felt a bit more even on Tuesday. But Tuesday was also a quiet day. So was it the drink, or was it just Tuesday?
One Amazon reviewer put it better than we could:
"It's hard to say whether or not it works or not as I feel the same with or without it. I'd like to think its helping but with these types of supplements you never really know."

That's the most common thing people say in our reviews, and it's a fair thing to say. It's also usually a sign that nobody told you what to look for. So here is the onboarding we'd give a friend: what day one actually is, what week three is for, and a simple way to know.
What should I feel on day one?
Less than you might expect, and that's the point.
Third Nature is non-drowsy and melatonin-free, built for daytime. So day one is not a wave of relaxation and it is definitely not a nap. If you were waiting to feel sedated, you were waiting for the wrong thing.
What you're looking for is quieter. Clearer, not sleepier. A little less scattered at the moment you'd normally feel pulled in three directions. One reviewer's phrase for it is the best we've heard:
"Not a knockout, just a quiet shift."

The fast mover here is L-theanine, 300 mg per stick. It supports calm focus and mental clarity, and research suggests it can promote mental calmness in as little as 30 to 60 minutes.* The largest review of the research so far, which pooled 31 randomized trials and was published in Molecular Psychiatry this year, found its most reliable short-term effect was on attention: in healthy adults, a single 200 mg dose taken 30 to 60 minutes before testing improved reaction time. Ours is 300 mg, inside the 200 to 400 mg range where human trials have found support.
So on day one, don't sit watching the clock. Notice the moments that usually get to you. Was the 3pm stretch a bit less frantic? Did you get through the inbox without the usual clench? (We wrote a whole piece on the 3pm moment if that's your hour.) That's day one. Small, and real.
How long does it take to work?
Our honest cadence, the one on our homepage, is this: Feel it the first day; feel the difference by week three.*
The first half is the fast part above. The second half is the reason Third Nature is a daily drink rather than an occasional one. It's made for daily use, and a balanced nervous system builds with consistency.*
There's research on that shape, too. In a small double-blind trial published in Nutrients in 2019, 30 healthy adults took 200 mg of L-theanine a day for four weeks, and their stress-related symptom scores fell compared with placebo. It was one ingredient, not our formula, and it was funded by a company that supplies theanine, so read it as a direction rather than a promise. But the direction is the useful bit: daily, over weeks, is where the difference shows up.
Which is also why day three is too early to decide.
How do I know if it's working?
Here's the simple version. Ten seconds a day.
Before your first stick, give your day a number from 0 to 10. Zero is completely unbothered. Ten is the worst ordinary day you can remember. Write it somewhere you'll see it again: your phone's notes, the inside of the box flap, a sticky note on the fridge.
Then do it again at the same time every evening, for the whole box. Same time matters. A number at 9pm after dinner is not comparable with a number at 5pm in traffic.
This isn't a test and it isn't a measure of anything medical. It's a way of turning "I think I feel a bit better?" into something you can actually look back at. Memory is a poor witness. By day twenty you'll have forgotten what day two was like, and the numbers won't have.
What to look at, by week three: not your best days. Good days are good anyway. Look at the ordinary bad ones, the Tuesdays with too many meetings and a child who won't put shoes on. That's the honest test. Are those days landing a little softer than they used to? Is the bad-day number coming in a notch lower than it did in week one?
Two things make the check-in fair. Keep the rest of your routine roughly the same while you're doing it. And take one stick a day, as directed. More isn't the answer, and it was never the design.
What it will not do
It will not make a hard week easy.
If this week has a deadline, a sick parent and a broken dishwasher in it, nothing in a stick pack fixes that, and we'd rather tell you than let you find out. It isn't a sedative and it isn't a sleep aid. What Third Nature is for is the everyday, low-grade version of stress that most of us have quietly accepted as normal. That's the version your check-in will show you.
Why the box size matters
A 14-count box ends on day fourteen. Week three starts on day fifteen.
So if you started with the 14-count, you'll run out right before the part of the cadence that matters most. The 28-count is about a four-week supply, which takes you through week three with a week to spare, and lets you finish your check-in instead of stopping it halfway.
If you'd like to see it through, the 28-count is here.
